Overview: Jose L. Piedra Brevas

Jose L Piedra Brevas is named after its vitola, measuring 133mm in length with a 42 ring gauge. These cigars are filled with tobacco from Remedios, in the Vuelta Arriba region of Cuba.

All of the cigars in the Jose L. Piedra range are Tripa Corta, Totalmente a Mano – Short filler, Handmade, as a direct result of this, JLP  cigars are an incredible value price. Their white branded bands are hand applied and the contrast pops against the color of the rich tobacco leaf, they are finished with a traditional cuban cap.

The Brevas offer a medium to full bodied strength that shows nice earthy flavours like coffee bean, cocoa and walnut. A generous amount of smoke output from these, they pair excellently with a strong cup of coffee in the morning.

These are a great everyday cigar, also excellent spare smokes for your friend that is less invested but wants to try out a true cuban at a fraction of the average price.

These are good everyday smokes and good yard cigars. They are ugly as sin, but smell of sweet hay. They smoke flawlessly though, and impart a straightforward semi-sweet tobacco flavor, with hay, and a touch of coffee. Easy going cigar. No thrills.

if all you got is the money for this smoke then get it, but if you have more get another smoke, imo
mine came in a dried up bundle and had to sit in the humi to become smokable and they will do in a pinch but they pale compare to a diplo #4 or a monte #4

A very enjoyable smoke. A medium-bodied, well-balanced cigar, not subtle yet a robust one delivering a full mouth of earthy and rawer Cuban flavors.
